We are an all-female chorus who sing four-part a cappella harmony in the barbershop style. (Not sure what that means? See below for a sample!) Our chorus is a member of Sweet Adelines International, an organization dedicated to celebrating barbershop harmony via the musical education and performance of amateur female singers worldwide.
The Kawartha Music Company has been presenting music to delighted audiences in and around the city of Peterborough Ontario, Canada since its inception in 1970. Our chorus possesses an impressive and wide-ranging repertoire which runs the gamut from Gershwin to Elton John.
Kawartha Music Company members are of all ages and come from all walks of life. We offer fun and friendship as well as many opportunities to learn and grow. And the only requirements for membership are a love of music and the ability to carry a tune!

We rehearse every Monday evening at 6:45 pm, at The Village on Argyle (TVOA), 780 Argyle St., Peterborough, ON.
